I am now officially excited by the future, and it's many prospects.
Before I say any more I must confess that Wintergrass was challenging emotionally, with so many great players I felt myself on the verge of jealousy more than once. Despair was also close at hand, however my constant prayer and supplication to the Almighty God of heaven and earth was a great comfort and help.
My grandma was also very kind to me. My Grandma, my mother, and the wonderful musicians I was privileged to meet, were the chisel that God used to shape my character. Thanks to every one for the encouragement.
My passion is to be a first class musician, not just for the name, but rather for what I can do by it. When you have substantial finances you can give to the poor, when you are a big name musician you can inspire other musicians who are less skilled by showing a genuine interest in them. I know the feeling (thanks to Jeremy Garrett, Cassey Driesen, Andy Leftwich, Michael Cleaveland, Darol Anger, Jason Carter, Tashina Clarridge and ok there are more those are just the fiddlers) .
well talk later

The world is full of tiny books no one bothered to read. Little bricks that no one used. This blog is dedicated to painting the dust that we blow off our brushes...

Wintergrass 2009 is awesome!!!
Molly Adkins and Martin Stevens(friends of mine) opened up the festival. They did great!
This is me with the academy fiddle and banjo teachers. Jason Carter(left) was very friendly and gave me a lot of insightful instruction. Thanks to Grandma Dot for paying my way to go.
This is me with Ronnie McCoury.
Bye Bye now!

Of Faith and Praise
oh blessed peace and serenity sure
that guides our eyes, helps us endure
like walking through a foreboding tomb
with Gods own Word to light the gloom
as one is laid to earthly rest
and tears flow free and non repressed
take not sorrow so much as joy in life
for one of God has escaped earths strife
weep, yes mourn for one so dear
the will of God is surely here
as Lazarus came forth from deaths door
we shall be made alive on the kingdoms shore
such an example my Godly aunt has portrayed
the trust of the Lord she hath not betrayed
thou good and faithful servant, that doth glorify thy Lord
keep your shield of faith around you and don't lay down the sword
that guides our eyes, helps us endure
like walking through a foreboding tomb
with Gods own Word to light the gloom

Group 'activenny'
I have recently been wandering through the untrodden fields of never afore perceived thoughts traveling along the train which is intended for the conveyance of such neurological frequencies. My thoughts speed incessantly towards one so prominent in history as to uplift the loftiest poet, yet shame, by his character, all those who are in association with his very name, who have wit enough to see his fault[s].
Guess to whom I refer, if you dare condemn one to such a title.
(btw colorful answers are encouraged)

random thaught
"I have been going through a bumpy tunnel. That is to say, I am at a point in my life when I understand little and try to less. I am more concerned about myself instead of others, yet correction of this is external and never internal."
How do you respond to statements like this? Just reading this is sobering, so how should the response be characterized so as to enlighten and improve the listener?
Or should the response be intended to bring such results?
Hmmmmm?

p.s. I love fiddle(violin)

CD
what is your favorite solo instrument? That is, what instrument would you be most satisfied listening to by itself?
On the twentieth of this month my mother and I will be going to Salem. I previously went with my best friend Jake Dewhirst to record a solo album he is recording. However a few of the solo's that he and I did where not up to the standards we had intended.
So now we are going back to the drawing board and finish the CD asap.
I am praying that all goes well because if not...
Well, here's a hint"$$$$$$$$$$$$$$",and"Big big big big".
